The Lion is Roaring

Surely the Lord GOD does nothing unless He reveals His secret counsel to

His servants the prophets. A lion has roared! Who will not fear? The Lord

GOD has spoken! Who can but prophesy? (‭Amos‬ ‭3‬:‭7-8‬ NASB)

The Information Age presents us, as 21st century Christians, with quite a

dilemma: how do we hear the Word of the Lord as it competes with the

myriad of other sounds coming from our media sources. The freedom of

expression afforded to us also makes us vulnerable to the opinions of

those who, for better or for worse, have carved a voice among the many.

They influence their listeners day by day. Every wind of opinion is blowing:

every sound seems to be true.

When Amos releases this word, Israel was living in prosperous and

peaceful times, having forgotten again the Source and purpose of her abundance. The very ones that were to be the envy and blessing to the nations had given themselves to their hedonistic desires. Instead, they did not enter in and become the fulness of what God had intended for them to be. Israel left her love and joy and attached herself to a myriad of false lovers. Moreover, she had appeased her conscience by practicing religious rituals while their hearts were far from God. Amos prophesied against Israel and her rulers without fear.

Around the world today the Church is retaking her Christ-filled, prophetic mantle and speaking to the principalities, powers and rulers that: The Earth belongs to the Lord and to His Christ! The fulness of the counsel of God is been declared in this very hour. He is ROARING His divine plans across the nations. There are people gathering in full, grace-filled battle array mobilizing at the sound of His decree. His voice is louder than any other voice if one has ears to hear and a heart to receive what He is saying.

You see, beloved, He calls us friends because He reveals the secrets of Father's heart to us, not just to special envoys. Even as the conditions of Amos' time mirror ours, Jesus is the game changer. We are assured that God will not do anything without first revealing it to His servants the prophets. These are not superheroes of some sort. These are those who have come to Jesus and surrendered to Him. We are all carriers of the prophetic mantle, the very testimony of Jesus (Rev 19:10). Therefore, we should:

- come to Him with unveiled faces
- fill ourselves with His Word and will
- worship Him in every place we live and work from
- enjoy Him fully so that His love would drive out fear
- listen to His voice that faith would come
- equip ourselves to serve according to the sphere the Lord has opened up to us
- release the Hope of Glory into the people in and around our life; and,
- prophesy the Good News that our King Reigns!

THE LION IS ROARING! This sound enables us to find and release our voice to speak of the wonders of our God. His adversaries tremble at the sound of the marching hosts partnering with us as we invade Earth with Heaven through His spoken Word. His enemies are afraid of the hope we carry within us. They fear to encounter those who are willing to engage and articulate His mandate to glorify Him for real. They are afraid of a generation who would love their neighbors, enemies and brethren without reservation, prejudice or hesitation in word and deed.

The Lion is bringing terror to the enemy's camp.
HE IS ROARING ACROSS THE LAND!
How can we not PROPHESY the excellencies of our King!
